How old should my child be, before it’s suitable to use Dermatix® Ultra Kids?

Dermatix® Ultra Kids is suitable for use with children aged 3 months and above.

How long will it take for the appearance of my child’s scar to improve?

It depends on many factors. We recommend a minimum treatment time of 60 to 90 days, with older or larger scars requiring a longer treatment time.
For best results, treat your child’s scar using Dermatix® Ultra Kids when it is still fresh (i.e., less than 3 months old), as soon as the wound has closed and healed. Dermatix® Ultra Kids works best when used on scars formed less than 2 years ago.
We recommend applying Dermatix® Ultra Kids twice daily for 3 months on minor scars, and 6 to 9 months on burn scars or surgical scars.
It is suitable to continue using Dermatix® Ultra Kids for as long as continued improvements are seen.

Is Dermatix® Ultra Kids suitable for use on sensitive or allergy prone skin?

Yes, Dermatix® Ultra Kids is suitable for use on sensitive and allergy prone skin. However, should your child have an underlying medical condition (related to their skin), please consult your skin doctor before using Dermatix® Ultra Kids.
